# GetBlockHeight

> Get the current block height of Solana using the LaserStream gRPC API.

## Authorizations

**x-token** `string` *required*

Your Helius API key. You can get one for free in the
[dashboard](https://dashboard.helius.dev/api-keys).

## Message

This method takes an empty request and returns the current block height.

## Response

**blockHeight** `integer`

The current block height of the Solana blockchain.
