# Parsed Events

> Parse Solana transactions and address history into decoded instructions, transfers, and summaries over REST.

## What is Parsed Events?

Parsed Events returns parsed Solana transaction data from raw transaction signatures or address history. It returns the same parsed transaction model that Parsed Streams delivers, as REST JSON.

Instructions are decoded through the same IDL catalog that powers [Parsed Streams](https://www.helius.dev/docs/parsed-streams.md): named instruction arguments, named accounts, and inner (CPI) instructions. Parsed Streams pushes matching transactions to you in real time over WebSocket; Parsed Events parses signatures and address history on demand. If the decoding model is new to you, read the Parsed Streams [mental model](https://www.helius.dev/docs/parsed-streams.md#the-mental-model) first.

Parsed data includes:

* decoded instruction names, accounts, and arguments;
* transaction and instruction summaries;
* native SOL transfers;
* SPL Token and Token-2022 transfers;
* structured summary data (`parsedData`) for supported protocols;
* decoded custom program errors when program metadata is available;
* the original raw transaction payload when requested.

## Methods

Parsed Events has five REST methods.

| Method | Endpoint | Description |
| - | - | - |
| Parse Transactions | `POST /v1/parsed-events/transactions` | Parse one or more transaction signatures. |
| Parsed Transaction History | `POST /v1/parsed-events/transaction-history` | Fetch parsed transaction history for an address. |
| Scan Transaction History | `POST /v1/parsed-events/scan` | Search an address's history for transactions that call a program or touch a token mint, and return only the parsed matches. |
| List IDL Versions | `GET /v1/parsed-events/idl/{programId}` | List every IDL version the catalog has for a program, oldest first. |
| Get IDL | `GET /v1/parsed-events/idl/{programId}/{slot}` | Get the IDL that was in effect for a program at a slot. |

### How it compares

> [card] vs Parsed Streams
>
> [Parsed Streams](https://www.helius.dev/docs/parsed-streams.md) pushes decoded transactions over WebSocket as they land, filtered server-side at the instruction level. Parsed Events parses signatures and address history on demand over REST.

> [card] vs Enhanced Transactions
>
> [Enhanced Transactions](https://www.helius.dev/docs/enhanced-transactions/overview.md) is the previous-generation parse and history API built on fixed event types. Parsed Events decodes instructions through the IDL catalog into named arguments and accounts.

## Access and pricing

Parsed Events is generally available on all plans, including Free. It replaces the legacy [Enhanced Transactions API](https://www.helius.dev/docs/enhanced-transactions/overview.md), which stays in maintenance mode. Get your API key from the [Helius Dashboard](https://dashboard.helius.dev) and send requests to `https://mainnet.helius-rpc.com`.

Authenticate with your project's API key, passed as the `api-key` query parameter.

Parse Transactions, Parsed Transaction History, List IDL Versions, and Get IDL cost **10 credits** per request. Scan Transaction History costs **10 credits plus 1 credit per history page scanned** (up to 1,000 transactions per page). See [Credits](https://www.helius.dev/docs/billing/credits.md#standard-credits) for the full price list.
